Bru leads GMG golfers at Don Bosco season opener

WATERLOO – GMG golfer Jay Bru recorded the Wolverine boys lowest score on Thursday, April 3, at the season-opening Don Bosco Invite held at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo.

Bru, a senior, tied with North Tama’s Bryce Dostal for 16th with a score of 57. Other Wolverine finishes included senior Jacob Cromwell with 65, sophomore Jacob Beaderstadt with 69, junior Brayton Davis with 71, junior Drayson Stephenson with 72, and sophomore Jordan Rhodes with 83.

Don Bosco won the triangular with a combined score of 181, while North Tama took second with 194 and GMG third with 262.

On the girls side of the meet, GMG senior Olivia Maddux led the Wolverines with a ninth place finish, tying North Tama’s Kensington Pick with a low score of 61.
