Marshalltown/GMG bowlers split with host Mason City
CHARLES CITY — The Marshalltown boys’ bowling team under which GMG also competes scored a narrow win over Mason City on Tuesday, Jan. 7, edging the host Riverhawks 3,037-2,926 at Comet Bowl.
Carter McCready led Marshalltown with a 440 series, but was followed closely by Aiden Cowan (433) and Gage Grieves (428). Jayden Beichley was close behind at 405, while Porter Niedermann rounded out the individual scoring (373).
McCready’s 236 was the high game for MHS during the dual.
The Bobcat girls fell to Mason City 2,437-2,262. Devin Peterson posted a high game of 262 on her way to a team-leading 394 series, while Camillya Thomas rolled a 204 on her way to a 342 series.
Sydney May (316), Kenedy Lammert (263) and Ariana Villagomez (241) also scored for the Bobcats.
