MAXWELL — The GMG boys’ basketball team rallied but couldn’t catch Collins-Maxwell in a 57-52 loss in Iowa Star Conference action here on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The unbeaten Spartans (6-0, 3-0) led 30-21 at the half before getting outscored 31-27 in the second half by the visiting Wolverines (1-6, 0-4).

Grady Dieleman compiled 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Rider Kupka had 16 points and 13 boards for GMG. Colin Teske chipped in nine points.

Ian Beattie led Collins-Maxwell with 21 points.
