Tama County District Court Before Judge Chad A. Kepros in Tama County District Court in Toledo: Chad Jakob Mueller, 49, Bismarck, Ark., pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with all but two days suspended, placed on unsupervised probation and fined and assessed court costs totaling $1,798. He was directed to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow any directives. Mueller was charged on Siegel Street in Tama on Jan. 23, after being stopped for a vehicle equipment violation by Toledo Police Officer Kyle Howe. BrittanyMorgan Youngbear, 25, Tama, pleaded guilty to child endangerment.She received a suspended two-year prison term, a $635 fine was also suspended and $172 court costs assessed. She was placed on self-supervised probation and ordered to pay a $300 supervisor fee. Youngbear and a second defendant, Levi Troxel, were ordered jointly responsible to pay $525 restitution to Designer Inn and Suites, Toledo Youngbear was charged on July 8, 2018, following the incident at 2:25 a.m. in the parking lot of the motel. Court records state during the ivestigation of a robbery and hit and run Toledo Police Officer Fred Oster learned the defendant’s child was seen outside the sunroof of a vehicle as it struck fencing and a dumpster while fleeing the scene. Youngbear and Troxel were alleged to be intoxicated at the time and assaulted an aquaintance and stole her purse. Grant Dmirty Hill, 22, Williamsburg, Iowa, pleaded guilty to 2nd degree theft. He received a suspended five-year prison term, was fined and assessed court costs totaling $1,318 and directed to pay $1,038 restitution. He was placed on supervised probation to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services and ordered to pay the full enrollment fee. He was also directed to pay $1,038 restitution to the Dollar General Store in Toledo. Hill was charged with theft on Oct. 29, 2018 after admitting to a Dollar General loss prevention manager he had taken store property to his apartment in Tama. The charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Nathan Shepard. Dylan Dean DeBuhr, 23, New Hartford, Iowa, entered a written guilty plea to public intoxication. He was fined and assessed court costs totaling $180. DeBuhr had originally been charged with 1st offense drunken driving following a motor vehicle accident on May 18, 2018 at Tama County roads D65 and F Avenue, Lincoln, by Tama county Deputy Sheriff Sean Gehring. Before Chief Judge Patrick Grady: John David Henderson, 36, Des Moines, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of 3rd degree theft – enhanced. He was sentenced to two years in prison to be served concurrently with a Polk County sentence. A $625 fine was suspended and court costs totaling $206 were assessed and he is to pay restitution of $44 to Jiffy North, Toledo. Henderson was charged after allegedly not paying for gasoline obtained at the Jiffy Convenience Store in Toledo and later fleeing from a traffic stop attempted by Meskwkai Nation Tribal Police. The theft charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Kyle Howe.
