Robin D. Siefken-Whitman, 62

Our Lord called Robin D. Siefken-Whitman, 62, home on Sunday, April 7,2019. She ended her battle with cancer at Foxwood Springs in Raymore, Mo. under the care of the wonderful staff of Brookdale Hospice with family by her side. Robin was born on December 22,1956 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was the daughter of Marlin and Gail Siefken and a loving sister to Darlene (Glenn) Lanphier of Newton, IA, Lanette (Russ) Frost of Clive, IA. and Gloria (Tom) Miller of Crystal Lake, IL. She graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1975. She married her best friend and love of her life Harold Whitman on August 2, 1975. Together they had a daughter Paula (Tom) Andrews and a son Martin (April) Whitman. She was a major presence in the lives of her kids and grandkids. Robin cherished the role of grandma to Tristin(19), Jourdan(16), Nathanial(15) and Autumn(9). She will be sadly missed by many sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Robin found joy in drawing, making jewelry, going to church with her family, watching wolf documentaries and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed yearly camping trips with her sisters and family reunions. Robin was a gentle, loving and caring woman who has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts. Robin will forever be remembered by her long standing relationship with God and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy we are comforted knowing she is watching over us in heaven. All are welcomed to join in the celebration of Robin Whitman on Saturday, June 29th from 1-3pm at the Grundy County Heritage Museum, 204 Fourth St. Morrison, IA. 50657.
