Julie A. Craig

Julie A. Craig, 45, of Elgin, Ill. died Thursday December 15, 2016 at Muse Norris Hospice, Mason City, surrounded by her family.

There will be a family memorial service at a later date.

Julie Ann Craig was born February 6, 1971 at Waterloo, a daughter of Myron and Nancy (Reid) Craig.

Julie went home to be with the Lord peacefully on December 15th after an eleven month hard fought health battle. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, compassionate heart and her love for the Cubbies and the Chicago Blackhawks.

She is survived by her significant other, Chris Strauss, Algonquin, Ill.; siblings, Mike Craig, Ariz., Susie (Gary) Esboldt, Willmar, Minn., Al (Tami) Craig, Reinbeck, Iowa, Cheryl Ewoldt, Traer, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Steven (Nikki), Kelli (Josh), Luke (Stacy), Joy, Sam (Sara), Nate, Reid, Bryce, Josh (Tasha), Lance; six great-nieces and nephews; four aunts; and many other family and friends in the Chicago area, Arizona and Reinbeck.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in-law, Barry Ewoldt.
