DES MOINES – Members of the Grundy County Pork Producers recently attended the Iowa Pork Congress held Jan. 22-23 in Des Moines.

During the Iowa Pork Producers Association’s Annual Meeting Luncheon, several local members received recognition including Emma Fleshner who earned the 2024 Iowa Pork Returning Student Scholarship. This scholarship is offered to students who are currently majoring in an agriculture-related field with an interest in the pork industry.

Member Laura Hommel was also honored with the Iowa Belle Ringer Award for her outstanding contributions and support of Iowa’s Pork Producers.

For the IPPA Board of Directors, Dean Frazer served as Vice President of Operations and will now serve as President-elect.
