Marshalltown Area United Way marks second-largest fundraising total
Tama-Grundy Publishing’s Robert Maharry named 2025-26 Co-Chair
MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Area United Way’s Executve Director, Kendra Sorensen together with this year’s Co-Chairs, Kate Bowermaster and Kyley Leger, is proud to announce that the 2024-25 annual campaign has achieved the second-largest fundraising total in the organization’s history. This year’s campaign raised an impressive $880,673, narrowly missing the ambitious goal of $900,000 but coming close to the record-breaking $889,900 raised during the 2022-2023 campaign under Co-Chairs Jeff Schneider and Alyce Quastad.
Reflecting on this year’s campaign, Sorensen noted, “Although the goal was ambitious, it transparently reflected the minimum funding required to sustain essential programming and services in Marshall County.”
The Marshalltown Area United Way (MAUW) extends its heartfelt gratitude to the donors, supporters, corporate partners, area businesses, local organizations, financial institutions, campaign cabinet members, media outlets, the MAUW Board of Directors, and our partner agencies.
This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without their collective commitment and generosity.
As we look ahead to the 2025-2026 campaign, we are excited to welcome the incoming Co-Chairs, Robert Maharry and Maria Gonzalez Alvarez.
Together, we will continue to strengthen our community by promoting financial security, creating youth opportunities, and improving the overall health and well-being of Marshall County residents.
