GARWIN – It’s time to get festive in Garwin! The Garwin Enrichment League has planned a whole host of holiday fun for Friday, Dec. 20, in an effort to spread the festive spirit throughout the community.

Decorating Contest

First up, Garwin residents and businesses are invited to participate in the League’s Christmas Decorating Contest running now through Friday, Dec. 20, when judging will take place beginning at 8 p.m.

“Decorate your space in the most creative and festive way possible to show us your festive spirit!” the contest flyer proclaims.

While there is no need to register, all participating houses and businesses will need to feature holiday lights in some capacity.

Residents located outside Garwin city limits are welcome to participate as well, just be sure to email the Garwin Enrichment League (garwinenrichmentleague@gmail.com) to join.

Soup with Santa

Also on Friday, Dec. 20, the Garwin Enrichment League is sponsoring Soup with Santa!

From 5-7 p.m. at the Garwin Community Building, join League members for some winter fun. During that time frame, a variety of soups, dessert, and drinks – plus hot dogs for the kids – will be served in exchange for a free will donation. Takeout is also available.

Then at 6 p.m. SHARP, the head elf himself, Santa Claus is due to arrive. So don’t be late!

All children present will receive a goodie bag.
