Iowa DOT seeks input on proposed Grundy County bridge replacement

GRUNDY COUNTY – The Iowa Dept. of Transportation is asking the public to share what they think about the proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 175 over Munns Creek in Grundy County.
The existing bridge is over 100 years old and in need of replacement. The bridge will be replaced with twin reinforced concrete box culverts.
Construction will take place starting in Spring 2026 and be completed by the end of 2026.
Traffic will be detoured during the construction of the new culverts. The detour will use Iowa 14, County Road D35 (215th Street), and County Road T53 (S Avenue).
