The quick agenda
Tama Co. Board of Supervisors Jan. 29 meeting
TOLEDO – Last Monday’s Tama County Board of Supervisors meeting was a quick one, as there was only one item on the agenda. As usual, the meeting started with the county engineer giving his report.
He stated that over the weekend, they got more snow pushed back and are working quickly during the “little bitty spring” we are currently having. They aren’t hauling rock as of yet, but he is looking at the rock totals. The new shop truck has been delivered, and work on the K Avenue bridge has continued with the possibility of pouring the deck on Friday.
A possible agreement by some local farmers was brought to the supervisors. The agreement would be for the farmers to move snow on rural roads that the county can’t get to as quickly. The supervisors and the engineer are taking it under review.
A resolution to put the new voting precincts into an ordinance was approved. There were two public hearings last week on the subject with no comments from the public.
Claims totaling $55,984 were approved.
