TOLEDO – The Jan. 2 meeting of the Tama Co. Board of Supervisors saw a shift in leadership.

The first meeting of 2024, which will be the year of the dragon, started with the changing of the guard. Curt Hilmer was voted in as the new Chairman; his brief coronation occurred when former chairman Bill Faicloth handed over the rarely used gavel and sound block.

Dan Anderson was made Vice Chairman at this time as well.

Hilmer ran the rest of the meeting, starting with the “organizational meeting,” which didn’t change much.
