Emily Draffen and Stephen Garrett, both of Memphis, Tenn., are announcing their engagement and upcoming May wedding.

Parents of the couple are Chris and Margaret Draffen of Reinbeck, and Mark and Cathy Garrett of New Albany, Miss.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Drake University, and is employed by Theatre Memphis. The groom-elect is a graduate of University of Mississippi and the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York. He works at Cagenix Accuframe.

Following a honeymoon in Paris and London, the couple will reside in Cordova, Tenn., a suburb of Memphis.
